The core Damascus Road offering is a series of four, three-day, in-person facilitated workshops, spread over two years. The workshops focus developing the Biblical capabilities that spurred the growth of the early church (Acts 2):
- 1.0. Developing and leading a vision culture and a perpetually relevant mission-focused church.
- 2.0. Developing and leading an invitational church, dynamically effective at reaching people for Christ.
- 3.0. Developing and leading a transformational church, dynamically effective in transforming the lives of Christians as they mature in their faith.
- 4.0. Developing and leading an impactful church, a church with a strong moral voice, perpetually relevant at serving your community and the world in love.
Day One of each workshop is for Pastors alone, focusing on personal renewal, effective leadership and pulpit effectiveness. Their leadership teams join for Days 2 and 3.
Following each workshop, for one hour, on a weekly basis, a Damascus Road coach works with the Pastor and/or church leaders, as appropriate, to provide support and accountability as the church implements its growth objectives.
In the workshops and back at home, pastors and their leaders will develop and execute a strategy and initiatives specifically related to the contexts in which they serve--whether they are a small, medium or large church, serving in rural, suburban or urban areas.
We serve any church that is aligned with or would like to be aligned with our core beliefs.
"Go Deeper" Workshops

Damascus Road trainers offer workshops that provide opportunities for churches to “go deeper” in areas related to the operation and development of strong programs. This training is normally delivered in person, at a specific church. Topics can be combined for Church Retreats. Topics include:
- Structuring and animating an invitational weekend experience (music, preaching, technology, welcome, communication, atmosphere, tone, etc.)
- Leading people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Reaching and developing young people for Jesus Christ
- Parenting and the moral development of children
- Marriage enrichment
- Developing Neighborhood Groups
- Transformational teaching (discipleship): small groups, and one-on-one mentoring
- Christian Vocation, becoming the voice, the hands, and the face of God in the community and the world
- Developing a Leadership Culture
- Measuring progress and asking for feedback.

- Resolving conflict in the Church and working with difficult people
- Managing communication in the Church

Damascus Road collaborates with a network of Christian thought leaders and teachers who provide a Christian perspective on the complex and disturbing issues that Christians face in the world today. These resources can be used for individual or group study, inside and outside the church and are available to everyone under the resources tab of our website and on our YouTube channel.
Some of the topics under development include:
- Technological development, including artificial intelligence, is advancing at an unprecedented rate, with few controls, and will have a profound impact on the world, our values and the meaning of human life.
- Recent saber-rattling indicates that for some nations nuclear war remains an option. Should Christians see a potential apocalypse as God’s way of dealing with the evils of the world, encourage America to continue to develop strong deterrents, or do everything in our power to bring about a peaceful resolution of our differences? Or Both?
- Many jobs are becoming obsolete. What is the role of Christians in defining the concept of work in ways that ensure that everyone has access to meaningful employment?
- The traditional family structure is under attack. How should Christians respond to this new reality?
- How does Christian faith define the concept of identity and how should we love those who are different than we are when our concepts of identity conflict?
